MEDPLUS 10/10 FREE BODY HEALTH CHECK IN IBADAN

 
Medplus, a leading pharmacy in Nigeria recently launched a health campaign in the city of Ibadan tagged “Medplus 10/10”.  The question “Are you 10/10”was posed to individuals within the recently opened Palms Shopping Mall, Ring Road and Cocoa Mall, Dugbe in Ibadan.  They were invited to participate inFREEHealth checks and consultancy with a specialist.

 
The free tests showed amongst other results:

  • Cholesterol level
  • Cardio&Renal activity
  • Bones and Hormonal balance
  • Vitamin levels deficiency, other indicators as well as specialist healthcare advice on dealing with the different results (health status).
Hundreds of people were engaged in discussions about their health and benefits of the programme within the malls and key locations in Ibadan. The activity held between the 22nd and 23rd of August 2014. Participants were advised to make certain changes in their lifestyle including diet, exercise and other specific recommendations. 
In the words of MrsFashiku“My experience of the medical check-up was a good experience because I was enlightened on what I need to be cautious of and what I need to take serious about my health because health is wealth”. 

MrsSomide said “My experience was a good one because I was told some things that are happening in my system and the remedies”.
 
Speaking on behalf of Medplus Pharmacy, the Operations Manager Ms. SumboFatungase said the initiative was borne out of the increasing need for Nigerians to be more conscious of their health.  “As anorganisation, our philosophy is holistic and overall well-being. Our approach to healthcare is both preventive and curative.  People need to be more aware about the need to go for regular health checks and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.  We regularly conduct minor screenings from time to time as part of our Community initiative and Ibadan is our next stop.”
