Nigeria’s SureGifts now accepting SimplePay

Nigeria’s gift cards retailer SureGifts has announced its customers can now use SimplePay as a method of payment for gift cards purchased on the platform.

Apparently there was mass failure at the Nigerian Law School this year. The Nigerian Law School recently released the 2013/2014 August result, and it was a Tsunami. Out of the 5,000 candidates who registered, only about 2,000 passed. Meaning that about 3,000 students failed the bar exam, the highest failure the Nigerian Law School has witnessed since its 50 years of existence.

First Consultants Medical Centre, the Lagos hospital where the man who brought Ebola to Nigeria, late Liberian Patrick Sawyer died, has indicted the Liberian Ambassador to Nigeria (pictured right) for his involvement in the case, saying he put the hospital under pressure to release Sawyer against the wish of its management, Vanguard reports.

Coach Stephen Keshi has spoken about his happiness over the team’s travel plans to Sudan for Saturday’s 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifying game against Sudan. The Super Eagles will leave for Khartoum (venue of Saturday’s game) with a chartered aircraft and Keshi has revealed that it could be decisive in the eventual outcome of the game.

NEWS: BOKO HARAM INVADES BAMA, MEETS RESISTANCE FROM NIGERIANS TROOPS

Boko Haram militants this morning September 1st launched an attack on Bama, the largest city in Borno state with the aim of taking over the town. According to reports, the sect men arrived the town and started shooting mortars, RPGs and hurling grenades but they were fiercely resisted by Nigerian troops stationed in the village. According to Sahara Reporters, a fierce battle is currently going on there between the sect men and Nigerian troops.

The Emir of Bama and many of the residents have fled the city to the state capital, Maiduguri, to avoid being caught up in the crossfire. Bama is a very strategic city in Borno state with a lot of military hardware and it is believed that if the sect men capture Bama, it will be very easy for them to move into the state capital, Maiduguri.
